Dear colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that we would like to announce that the Hellenic Society of Dermatologic Surgery, Laser and Aesthetic Dermatology (HSDS), will be organizing the 9th Mediterranean Congress of Phlebology, which will be held on June 7-9, 2024, in Kalamata, Greece, in collaboration with the Italian Society of Phlebology (SIF) and the Hellenic Society of Phlebology.

This congress is an important scientific meeting, with experienced and world renowned colleagues participating as members of the faculty, who are ready to share their knowledge in the study of the venous network (complications, insufficiency, varicose veins, ulcers, thrombosis, etc.) giving particular importance to the vessels of the lower limbs.

The ultimate goal of this year's Congress is that our fellow Dermatologists can approach phlebology.

Among other things, in this upcoming Congress we have planned to implement a number of educational workshops, so that following the sessions which focus on theory, participants can attend practical sessions with the experienced instruction of Prof. G. Genovese, as well as other esteemed instructors.

In conclusion, we would like to welcome our co-organizers the Italian Society of Phlebology (SIF) and the Hellenic Society of Phlebology and to sincerely thank Prof. G. Genovese, President of the Mediterranean Society of Phlebology and Honorary President of the HSDS, for appointing Greece as the host country of the Congress.

We are expecting you all in Kalamata, to contribute to the success of our efforts with your active participation.

Best regards,

On behalf of the Board of Directors

Dear Hellenic and Italian colleagues,

More than thirty years have passed since a great and brotherly scientific collaboration began between us; on the other hand, our fields have many points of contact in border pathologies: from the therapy of telangiectasias to the treatment of lower limb ulcers.

And it is just about these topics that our Scientific Societies wanted to base this 9th Mediterranean Congress of Phlebology.

It will be a wonderful opportunity for me to hug you all again, at the end of my professional career, with the same enthusiasm and affection as always, in the splendid panorama of Kalamata, on next June 7th.

President of the Societa Flebologica Mediterranea

Member of the Congress Organizing Committee

Giuseppe Genovese
